The BRF Foundation – Institute for Scientific Research in Psychiatry and Neuroscience was established in Lucca to support scientific research regarding mental illness and, generally, neurosciences. Dr. Armando Piccinni, along with a team of clinicians and researchers from the University of Pisa, founded it.
The BRF Foundation supports the study research of mental illness. The Foundation arranges conferences, awareness campaigns, school projects, research and publications.
The work of the BRF Foundation is intended to sustain mental patients and their families, working tirelessly in order to make a more adequate understanding of psychiatric disorders and to give deep and correct information about possible treatments.
